Pitch Wars 2016 Bio

Hello! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 and thanks to Lana for hosting the blog hop. I’m doing this before I chicken out and because I’m really excited about learning how to use GIFs!

Speaking of being excited, I’m already SO EXCITED to meet everyone (my first reason for entering Pitch Wars)!

Some random facts about me in no particular order:

I was born in Yolo County, CA. Yep, it was a place long before it was a hashtag.

I’m originally from San Diego but I’ve been living on the East Coast since college. Which means during winter, this happens:

My favorite color is green. If you saw my room you’d understand 🙂

Real cats make me sneeze, internet cats make me smile!

I’m working towards a graduate degree in engineering…

….but that also means I know a thing or twenty about hard work!

I use too many exclamation points and emojis 😀 😀 😀 !!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 😛 and I laugh entirely way too much (which may or may not be a bad thing, depending on whether you like laughing too!)

I love all things Lord of the Rings and Star Wars and Disney! Oh and COOKIES! I love cookies.

Some random facts about the manuscript:

I’m submitting a YA science fiction with some of this…

And some of this…

Last year, I sent the first draft of this story into Pitch Wars. This was back when I had no idea what a CP was, thought Twitter was just for stalking celebrities, and had never shared my work with anyone (rookie mistake!).

BUT I’m glad I did because it introduced me to the fabulous writing community and thanks to some seriously amazing writing buddies, that first draft has evolved into something I’m proud to sign my name on. However, I think there is some sparkle missing that Pitch Wars may be able to sprinkle on top (my second reason for entering!).

I’m hoping to find friends and a mentor who can teach me how how to turn this…

Into this…

I’m ready to learn!

Thanks again for stopping by and visiting my blog! Many more can be found HERE!

Good luck to all!!!

You seem to have gotten the gif thing down! (Maybe I’ll be next.) Sounds like you’ve learned a lot since the last PW. Good luck this year, Chris

Great bio. I, too, had to learn how to use Gifs.I might as well have beat my head against a wall. I live with a Mechanical Engineer and can I say, you’re awesome. To be a writer and and Engineer, well, the hubs and I couldn’t be more different–him so analytical that he often doesn’t get my wildly expressive tangents. So, you’re my hero! 😁
